Description
We're a beloved rural bakery located in a renovated 1921 Esso service station nestled in Old Town Warrenton next to the county courthouse; we're convenient to travelers headed from DC to Charlottesville or on to the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Valley. We're open every day but Sunday; our larger main store in Marshall is open every day. Come see us for award-winning pastries, hearty sandwiches and soup, pies and much more. Did we mention our double-chocolate moonshine cake made with real Virginia hooch?
We're open weekdays from 6:30 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 7 am to 4 pm. Our Warrenton store is closed Sundays, but our larger Marshall location is open seven days a week. Come see us!
Our smaller profile photo is of our pals Jane & Michael Stern, founders of Roadfood.com. They've been our loudest and proudest fans, shouting from all over the country in many national magazines about what’s coming out of our ovens (and they named us to Roadfood’s Hall of Fame of All Time). That meant a lot to us; we grew up with a battered (beat-up, not flour-coated) copy of “Roadfood” in our glove compartment and used it on our travels throughout the country—that book inspired us to think about ditching a career in publishing and opening a charming little food joint, and we did. Thanks, Jane & Michael; this could be all your fault!
